History and Mission

It all began in 1980 when, tired of being excluded from organizations such as Rotary, a small group came together to create an organization where women business owners could get support and encouragement from others in their same circumstances. And so the Network of Women Entrepreneurs (NWE) was born .It exists today, even stronger, due to the efforts of all our members - past and present.

Our policy of limiting membership to one person per industry or business type affords our members the ability to speak freely about business and share ideas, solutions and suggestions with one another. This also keeps the group more intimate, providing members the opportunity to really know one another.
